Study abroad

Boost your knowledge and skills with international experience!

Enrich your education at Faculty of Social Sciences by studying one or two semesters abroad. Explore another culture, experience a new lifestyle, gain new friends and become more competitive in the labour market.

The Faculty of Social Sciences work together during exchange study application periods. This means that students studying in one or more of the Faculty's departments can apply for spots at another department than the one they are studying at, if qualified, if there are still seats available, and if the planned studies are within the parameters of the agreement.

If you have specific questions about another department's exchange agreements, your Departmental International Coordinator can direct you to the appropriate contact. For information about university-wide exchanges outside Europe, your Departmental International Coordinator can also refer you to the appropriate contact(s) at the International Centre.

But there are limitations in what you can study at the partner university. You must study at the department or faculty where the agreement is held, and according to that agreement's guidelines. For more information, contact the Departmental International Coordinator at your department.

It is expected that participants in exchange studies will include the credits earned during the exchange in their degree. It is important, then, to discuss your planned course selection with your home department. Decisions regarding approval of credits earned during an exchange are done by the student's home department.
