Academic calendar

In Sweden, the higher education academic year runs from the end of August/beginning of September until the beginning of June.
It is organized in two semesters, which are then further divided into two (or four) periods each.

Academic year 2017/18

Autumn semester 2017:

Academic year 2018/19

Autumn semester 2018:
September 3rd - January 20th

Spring semester 2019:
January 21st - June 9th

The Autumn term Welcome Programme starts about one week before the start of classes. The Spring term Welcome Programme usually starts on the same day as the start of the term.

The exact start and end dates for each class can vary. To be sure of the exact dates of your course, see the class timetable (available closer to the start of the class).

Information about courses offered at the Faculty of Social Sciences is found under the links "First Cycle Courses" (undergraduate-level) and, only if applicable, "Second Cycle Courses" (graduate-level) to the left.
