Open lecture: The sale of Volvo Cars - is the Swedish media prejudiced?

Welcome to David Ibison's second lecture at JMG on Weaponising Communication.

The sale of Volvo Cars to Geely was far from being welcomed by the local media. Instead it was portrayed as a humiliating bargain basement sale of a proud national asset to an unknown Chinese company. It highlighted the uncomfortable fact that the Chinese nationality of Geely was a source of the local media's distaste. Volvo Cars urgently needed to overcome this prejudice.
How was it done? Did it work? Could you have done it? How to change, create and control narratives?

This is an open lecture, but the number of seats is restricted, so please register.

The lecture will be held in English.
