IP Seminar with Paul Beaumont

At the International Politics Seminar (IP) Paul Beaumont is a PhD candidate in International Relations at the Department of International Environment and Development Studies (Noragric), Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), will present a paper from his dissertation.

Paul Beaumont's primary research theorizes and investigates how international status hierarchies (de)legitimate government domestic and foreign policies. Having spent a productive 6 months as a visiting scholar at Cambridge University in the first half of 2019, he is currently finalizing his PhD monograph: The Grammar of Status Competition: "International" Hierarchies as Domestic Practice.
