International research collaboration

There is widespread international research collaboration within the faculty and all departments have developed far-reaching international relations within their research fields.
Some examples:

The Department of Sociology participates in an EU financed research network (Wellchi-network) that started in 2005 and which gathers together researchers from a number of disciplines in 11 countries. The theme is: The well-being of children: the impact of changing family forms, working conditions of parents, social policy and legislative measures.

The School of Global StudiesThe School of Global Studies is a member of GARNET, an EU network of excellence. GARNET’s aim is to develop a multi-disciplinary network of researchers with expertise within the field of global and regional order. The School of Global Studies also closely collaborates with universities in Rwanda, Macedonia and Israel for capacity building in education in war torn societies and is partner in networks on gender research.
