About us

The Faculty of Social Sciences has the highest number of undergraduates in the University. Many of the most popular programmes at the University of Gothenburg are to be found here. Research comprises everything from individual behaviour to international relations. Some of the research, i. e. on democracy and ageing, is internationally renowned.

The faculty consist of departments and research centres, a board, management and faculty office. The main role of the faculty level is to coordinate activities, to evaluate research and education, and to facilitate development.
